The Maine Audubon is proud to announce that this event marks the release of A Monarch Butterfly Story, written by Melissa Kim and illustrated by Jada Fitch. It is the latest book in the series “Wildlife on the Move” published in partnership with Islandport Press. The goal of the series is to bring well-written, engaging stories about wildlife migration, conservation, and respectful human interaction with nature to a Pre-K through second grade audience. Melissa and Jada will be available to sign copies of the book.
Although this event is free, there will be a $5 fee per car to park.
Space for parking is limited at Gilsland Farm and they want to keep the number of vehicles at a manageable level to minimize impact on the wildlife preserve.
