Pete Didisheim, Natural Resources Council of Maine’s (NRCM) longstanding Director of Advocacy, will present “Hot Environmental Issues at the State House and Beyond,” which will focus on four of the top issues that NRCM is currently working. Pete will provide an inside view of their work to defeat weak mineral mining rules, increase solar energy development, strengthen Maine’s lake protections, and build support for a new national park and national recreation area east of Baxter State Park.

This event is free and open to the public. There will be light refreshments, and free parking is available in the USM parking garage at the Abromson Community Education Center on Bedford Street.
