Portland Green Drinks- featuring Appalachian Mountain Club

Every second Tuesday of the month, join other green-minded folk for an evening of fun! Meet new people, have a drink, and support this month’s featured non-profit. Portland Greendrinks is proud to partner with Eastern Mountain Sports (EMS) and the new Portland Flea-for-All to support the Appalachian Mountain Club (AMC) for our monthly networking event.  We’ve got a lot going on – check it out:

• Portland Flea-for-All vendors will be on site selling their vintage and recycled vinyl, jewelery, furniture and other treasures during the event.
• Experts from EMS will be offering tips and presentations showcasing some of their new gear and how to use it, along with joining you in a celebration of the latest chapter in their 32 year relationship with the Portland community: the new South Portland location, right across the street from Maine Mall.
• AMC will be helping you to wrap your mind around all the possibilities for adventures in the 66,000+ acres of Maine land they own and share with the public.

Whether you’re looking to pick up a retro cruiser to wheel around town or a soon-to-be mud splattered mountain bike to shred up Bradbury Mountain with some new friends on Wednesday nights at 6pm with the folks from EMS, we’ll have you covered.  Perhaps though, you just want to escape it all and relax – no problem.  That’s why AMC will be giving you a trivia sheet when you walk in.  Find the answers, fill it out, hand it in, and you’ll be entered in a raffle (we’ll draw the winner at 6:45) for a stay at one of their Maine Wilderness Lodges; private cabins complete with home-cooked, family style meals cooked and served to you.
