Paul Tukey to Hold Free Public Workshop on Organic Lawn Care

Paul Tukey, nationally-recognized expert in organic lawn care, will hold a free public workshop in the Public Meeting Room. This two-hour workshop will give residents the information and resources they need to maintain a healthy, pesticide-free lawn that is safe for kids and pets. Sponsored by Citizens for a Green Scarborough, this event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

A lifelong resident of Maine, Paul is the founder of the SafeLawns Foundation (www.SafeLawns.org), an international coalition of for-profit and non-profit organizations promoting environmentally friendly lawn care and resource conservation.

He is also the author of the best-selling book, The Organic Lawn Care Manual, producer of the award-winning video series, “Making the Organic Lawn Care Transition” and producer and star of the award-winning documentary film, “A Chemical Reaction: The Story of a True Green Revolution.” The film’s world premiere in 2009 at the prestigious World Film Festival of Montreal was followed by appearances at other major North American film festivals, as well as more than 100 private and public screenings at various events across the U.S. and Canada.
